The ECO4 Scheme is a Government energy efficiency scheme which focuses on supporting low income and vulnerable households.
It is a Government scheme led by the private sector - not the council. Under the scheme, qualifying homeowners and private tenants may be entitled to energy efficiency improvements to their homes for free.

To apply for the ECO4 grant you need to be a claimant of one of the following benefits:

- Child Tax Credits
- Universal Credit
- Housing Benefit
- Pension Credit (Guaranteed)
- Pension Credit (Savings)

Your home must also fall into the following categories:
- You must be a homeowner or a private rented tenant
- Your home must have an EPC rating of E, F or G.
Unfortunately social/council housing is not eligible.
