The ECO4 Scheme focuses on supporting low income and vulnerable households and because of that there are many qualifying benefits that can help someone access free fully funded heating upgrades.
So what benefits qualify?
To apply for the ECO4 funding you need to be a claimant of one of the following benefits:
- Income based Jobseekers Allowance
- Income related Employment & Support Allowance
- Income Support
- Pension Credit Guarantee Credit
- Working Tax Credit
- Child Tax Credits
- Universal Credit
- Housing Benefit
- Pension Credit (Guaranteed)
- Pension Credit (Savings)

And, your home must also fall into the following categories too:
- You must be a homeowner or a private rented tenant
- Your home must have an EPC rating of E, F or G.
Unfortunately social/council housing is not eligible.
