LA FLEX (Local Authority Eligibility Flexibility) is an extension of the ECO4 scheme that helps UK households reduce their energy bills and carbon footprint by allowing them to access free heating upgrades.
The main difference is that the qualifying criteria is defined by a persons Local Authority, which has allowed local councils to extend the criteria to access funding beyond household income and benefits received.
This has meant that more homeowners have been able to get access to free heating upgrades in their home.
But the question you may be asking is 'Am I able to access funding through LA FLEX?'
To qualify via LA FLEX we must have a relationship with the council your property sits within and that you meet one of the following routes:
- Route 1: Household income must be below £31,000 gross.
- Route 2: If someone in the household suffers from a health conditions such as Arthritis, Diabetes, Asthma, COPD, Angina or similar heart conditions etc.
